Ylläksen Taiga - Cottage in Ylläs
Ylläksen Taiga is a cottage build in 2010, located in the scenic Maisematie area of Ylläsjärvi. You can access the cross-country ski trails directly from the yard, and the ski slopes are just a short distance away.
Spacious Cottage for Families and Groups.
Ylläksen Taiga is well-suited for two families or groups of three to four couples. The cottage features three bedrooms, each with two beds that can be joined together or separated. The largest bedroom is located upstairs and includes an open loft area with two additional beds and two mattresses. In total, there are beds for eight people plus mattresses for two more.
The cottage offers 121.5 square meters of space. Please note that pets are not allowed.
Prime Location Near Trails and Slopes
Cross-country skiing couldn’t be easier—Ylläs’s illuminated trail network runs just behind the cottage. You can step into your skis right on the terrace and glide across the backyard (20 m), or walk about 150 meters along Katajapolku to reach the trail.
Downhill skiing is also conveniently accessible: walk 500 meters to the nearest lift (Länsiraja), or you can take the ski bus from a stop 400 meters away, or drive just over 2 km to the resort. In spring, it’s even possible to ski back to the cottage through the forest or via the Länsiraja lift.
Snowshoes Available for Guests
The cottage includes two pairs of adult snowshoes and two pairs for children, freely available for guests to use during their stay.

The cottage is located in the scenic Maisematie area of Ylläsjärvi, at Katajapolku 12. The illuminated cross-country ski trail that circles Ylläs runs right next to the property, and you can access it directly from the yard.
The nearest ski lift (Länsiraja) is about 500 meters away on foot. Please note that this lift typically opens during the winter holiday weeks. The main ski resort (Sport Resort Ylläs) is approximately 1 km away by foot. You can also reach the ski bus by walking about 400 meters down to Maisematie road, or drive to the resort—just over 3 km by car.
